Slow Speed at 43 RPM

The Hurom HZ slow juicer rotates at a speed of 43 revolutions per minute (RPM). It is equipped with the Slow Squeezing Technology TM(SST) which enables the juicer to get 35% more juice than centrifugal high-speed juicers. It leaves a drier and little amount of pulp. This technology is planned to reduce the damage to ingredients as it extracts slowly, steadily and thoroughly leading to juices with natural taste, preserved enzymes and vitamins. Centrifugal juicers characterized by their high speed of rotation promotes quicker oxidation by raising the temperature, thereby damaging nutrients.

Taste and Pulp Control

A unique feature of this juicer is its ability to regulate the device to improve yield. This juicer can be operated to increase yield, and pulp doesn’t get spilled on the walls of the juicer. People with various medical conditions may want lots of pulp in their squeezed juice for better digestion and other beneficial health effects e.g. those looking to buffer the rise of sugar in their blood.

Quiet Operation

Most traditional juicers and blenders are known for their annoying noise during operation, this is not so with the HZ Slow juicer. The AC motor is almost silent, working on just 150 watts of power to produce well-blended juices, unlike centrifugal juicers equipped with noisy and high kilowatt motors. This is a plus for conservationists as they do not have to yell during the operation of the machine.

Sturdy Build

The HZ slow juicer has a fine stainless-steel finish along with LED indicator lights. The LED indicates the machine’s status; whether it is on or off, if it’s in reverse mode or in extraction mode. This makes operation very easy.

This juicer also comes equipped with an Ultem auger that is Bis-phenol A free, so the juices are free from any harmful effects caused by the poly carbonate. The compact design makes the machine stand elegantly.

Steady Yield and Easy Cleaning

The HZ slow juicer uses an alpha technology for extracting juices continually and it ejects pulp externally with near complete efficiency unlike other juicers that sling pulp violently.

FAQ – Questions and Answers

How big is the feed?

The feed shoot is not large. I have owned many juicers, some with large feed shoes. I don't consider the size of the shoot to be a factor. This juicer is positively the finest juicer I have ever used. Honestly, it is unbelievable. It produces very high-quality juice and is very quick and easy to clean. You may have to cut your produce into smaller segments, but this really only takes a few minutes more. The machine produces such a high-yield, you do not need to prep as much produce as with a centrifugal juicer. I hope this helps, feel free to ask any further questions. I am very excited about this juicer!

Is this good for Kale and Spinach?

We haven't tried Kale or spinach but it will work just fine. We use it for wheat grass, it will have no problem with Kale or Spinach.

Final Verdict

Though the Hurom HZ slow juicer is not cheap, it is worth the price. Pulp regulation and an efficient extraction process is hard to come by in the industry. The coarse strainer and fine strainer can make juices to your preference.

For those looking for an upgrade from the entry level centrifugal juicer, the Hurom HZ slow juicer is the best bet. And HUROM HZ Slow Juicer Review is for you.
